Children of the Molalla area will begin our Independence Day celebration
with a parade designed just for them. They will ride their bikes or
horses, ride on a float, walk their pets or dance along the 1.1 mile
parade route. Applications will be available at H.I. Screen

One
hundred thirty-eight (138) entries took part in the 2008 Molalla Giant Street Parade
and 2009 should be no exception. The parade is sponsored by the
Rotary Club of Molalla and Safeway. It is presented by the Molalla Area Chamber of Commerce.
This hometown favorite has drawn as many as 20,000 spectators.

are available after MAY 23 at the Chamber of Commerce office, 105 E. Main

riding at its finest! The second annual Ross Coleman Invitational
promises to be even better than the first. Top cowboys from the
PBR circuit will be riding some of the top bull stock in the country.

Apple
Festival

Experience Molalla’s proud pioneering heritage as you tour the historic
Dibble and Von der Ahe Houses during the Apple Festival. The
museum complex is located at 620 S. Molalla Avenue. Several local
bands will provide music which will be enjoyed by enjoyable for all
ages. There will also be demonstrations of historic craft making,
apple pressing and butter churning.
A Pie contest will be
judged by Mayor Mike Clarke.
You may purchase
homemade pies by the slice (with ice cream generously donated by
Safeway) and homemade carmel apples and Baughman Farms cider.
Also, Kirk Farms will
be selling apples.

him and others from the community for the lighting, caroling and fun.
